The Global Securitized Products Data Team is responsible for researching and supporting a $12 trillion global securitized product market. The securitized product market uses financial engineering to transform a variety of assets (residential and commercial mortgages, auto and equipment leases, managed corporate loan portfolios, credit card debt, and even music royalties) into securities that are structured to meet nearly any investor appetite. Our team supports the full data lifecycle and analytical capabilities, through reverse financial engineering, of all securitized products globally for Bloomberg.
The Securitized Products EMEA CLO & ABS team is responsible for creating and maintaining a large library of Securitized Products data and cash flow models for Public and Private Asset Backed Securities (ABS) including esoterics (Credit Card, Auto, SLABS, Solar) and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). The team is responsible for the full stack of work involved in handling these asset sectors, including new issuance and bond data, collateral performance data, cash flow modeling, periodic cash flow and collateral reconciliation, customer support, and proactive client engagement. Our bond data, collateral performance data, and cash flow models are required, along with prepayment and credit assumptions, in order to price these securities accurately and support the expanding markets.
What's the role?
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the team's current workflows across the EMEA ABS and CLO product areas. You will be responsible for supporting customer service requests, timely onboarding of new issuance deals, creating and maintaining extraction processes designed to automate the capture of periodic bond, collateral & deal data, and troubleshooting periodic cash flow test results. Additionally, you will be able to leverage the Data and Securitized Products Engineering Tech Stacks to produce programmatic solutions for improving our team's workflows and integrating the team's processes with other teams in Securitized Products globally. You will pair your understanding of our data with customer and market needs to ensure data is fit for purpose, discoverable, and ready for use.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in larger coverage expansion initiatives for previously unsupported deal types. This involves performing necessary market and analytical research to ensure proper functionality from a workflow, data ingestion, data quality, and analytics standpoint, as well as working closely with engineering and the business to implement.
We'll trust you to:
- Build subject matter expertise to create stronger relationships with clients while improving our data's fit for purpose & discoverability.
- Collaborate globally with fellow Data Analysts, Data Management Professionals and Engineering to provide technical solutions that are fit-for-purpose for our clients.
- Communicate with lead managers and clients to properly create and update Securitized Product deals in a time-sensitive environment.
- Maintain automated monthly payment and collateral information ensuring the publishing of quality data.
- Thoroughly review test failures and analyze internal workflows to identify potential opportunities for improved data quality controls and workflows.
- Provide industry leading customer service through our Help Desk. Leverage your understanding of our data to improve client interpretation of our data and predict their future needs.
- Communicate and collaborate across teams both within Securitized Products and with our various partners in Engineering, Data, and Product.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of junior team members.
You'll need to have:
*Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
- *4+ years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge or experience in the Fixed Income Markets
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Commitment to improving data management through the collection, classification, and maintenance of our data
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with command line tools

- Experience with Unix, SQL, JIRA, and Python
- Experience driving client engagement to support product needs
- Knowledge of data management and data analysis practices
- Willingness to train and mentor others
