Andesite Partners is delighted to have been appointed exclusively by one of the fastest EV Charging businesses to look for a newly created role - Project Management Officer. Our client is a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure company, driving innovation in sustainable mobility.


With a mission to accelerate EV adoption through scalable and cutting-edge solutions, the business is focused on deploying a robust network of charging stations across the UK. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and contribute to the rapid growth of a transformative business.


Role Summary

The Project Manager will be critical in planning, managing, and delivering EV infrastructure projects across multiple locations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for EV infrastructure rollouts.
  • Coordinate resources, including internal teams and external contractors, to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with municipalities, landlords, and utility companies to secure site approvals and permits.
  • Manage relationships with Private Equity stakeholders, providing regular progress updates.
  • Track project progress against key milestones, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize project costs and improve ROI.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify innovative solutions to overcome project challenges.
  • Contribute to developing scalable processes for future growth.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in project management, preferably within EV infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities, or a related industry.
  • Experience working in a Private Equity-backed or fast-paced, high-growth environment is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EV infrastructure deployment processes.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management and effective communication.
  • Familiarity with EV charging technologies, smart grid systems, and renewable energy integration.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or equivalent).
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teams.
  • Passion for sustainability and the EV industry.
