Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Manager - Process Engineering

Location: North West England (with UK travel and occasional overseas travel)

Salary: Up to £60,000 + associated benefits.

Are you a dynamic and results-driven Quality Assurance professional with a passion for process engineering? Do you have experience managing external contract manufacturing, 3rd-party manufacturers, and an extended supply chain? If so, we want to hear from you

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage quality assurance activities across our external contract manufacturing and third-party supply chain partners. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all contract manufacturers and suppliers meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring that the product quality is consistent, and all customer requirements are met. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in process engineering and supply chain quality management to make a significant impact on a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality assurance for external contract manufacturers and third-party suppliers within the process engineering sector.
  • Manage the supply chain, ensuring adherence to quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality-related issues.
  • Ensure supplier performance meets business and regulatory expectations, collaborating with teams to optimise the supply chain process.
  • Develop and maintain quality management systems to track, monitor, and report on supplier performance and compliance.
  • Liaise with internal teams (operations, purchasing, and engineering) to ensure alignment on quality requirements and processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality matters related to external suppliers, managing relationships and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company’s practices remain compliant.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role within plastics, process engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing external contract manufacturing and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of (TS16949) quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas to audit suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving quality enhancements across the supply chain.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £60,000
  • Opportunities for career progression in a growing and dynamic company.
  • Flexible working, with UK-based travel and occasional international trips.
  • The chance to work on exciting projects with leading industry partners.

If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
