We are currently recruiting aGoods Receiverto be a part of our Finance and Purchasing Departments of the Hotel.

Key qualities we are looking from the Goods Receiver:

As Goods Receiver you will ensure that all food, beverage and general supplies are delivered accurately and in good quality as per Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel guidelines. You will take responsibility for moving all goods to the appropriate departments on time and stored in the correct manner as per the product need, match goods delivered to suppliers' delivery notes and input the data into our purchasing system. You will notify suppliers and finance team regarding any delivery discrepancies.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:

  • Receive and organise deliveries by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas.
  • To adhere to and assist in the compliance of Health and Safety e.g. COSHH & Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that all Fire regulations are maintained by making sure that the Fire Exits are not blocked.
  • Be familiar with and practice the safe handling, care and storage of all equipment.
  • Ensure all goods received by the Loading Bay are of the correct quality, quantity and description as per Purchase Order.
  • Ensure all Delivery Notes are signed, and time stamped by receiver and delivery temperature recorded as appropriate, and copies are forwarded to the Head Chef, Junior Sous Chef and the Food & Beverage Management team.
  • To record any damaged goods received on Delivery Note and report to Head Chef and Food & Beverage Management team.
  • To notify, or deliver goods received to the various departments as appropriate.
  • To ensure relevant procedures are carried out at all times in relation to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Security, Fire & Emergencies procedures, and regulations.
  • To ensure that the Loading Bay is kept clean, tidy and in hygienic conditions at all times.
  • Ensure your team follow and comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures and pest control guidelines, reporting pest control issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure that all documentation relating to food safety, hygiene, sanitising, HACCP, temperature control, cleaning/disinfecting/sanitising is completed on shift and that any discrepancies are noted and flagged to the Head Chef.
  • Ensure flawless compliance with local & national government and company food safety, health and hygiene procedures.
