Job Summary:

COINSEC is seeking a forward-thinking CFO to oversee the financial health of the organization, provide strategic financial insights, and ensure robust financial operations. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping and executing the financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing capital efficiency to support COINSEC's mission of transforming capital markets.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with COINSEC’s growth objectives and industry leadership aspirations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the interim CEO and executive team to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead long-term financial planning and capital allocation to maximize value creation.


Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Optimize cash flow, liquidity management, and working capital to support business objectives.


Capital Management and Fundraising:

  • Partner with the executive team to develop and execute strategies for raising capital, including equity and debt financing.
  • Establish relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to secure funding and foster trust.
  • Manage financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships as needed.


Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial assets and reputation.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory challenges in the digital assets sector.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Design and maintain KPIs to measure financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver transparent, comprehensive financial reporting to the board, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting COINSEC’s ambitious goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the finance team.
  • Invest in continuous professional development to maintain excellence in financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader, ideally within fintech, capital markets, or digital assets industries.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, corporate finance, and strategic planning.
  • Expertise in fundraising, capital management, and financial modeling.
  • Deep knowledge of financial regulations and compliance frameworks in the fintech sector.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience navigating financial operations in high-growth technology companies.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies, digital assets, and tokenized financial instruments.
  • Strong network within the investment community and experience building investor relations.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools and technologies.
