Network Field Service Engineer, Central London


We are seeking a skilled and professional Network Field Service Engineer to join our on-site team providing a Managed Service for two highly secure customer sites in Central London.

This operational role focuses on managing contractual SLAs, resolving device failures and incidents promptly, and ensuring that all customer SLAs are consistently met. As the face of our business on customer sites, professionalism and technical excellence are paramount.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Network Field Service Engineer, your duties will include:


Installation and Configuration

  • Physically installing switches and network equipment.
  • Configuring switching infrastructure and Aruba Wireless Access Points.
  • Performing copper/fibre patching and network cabling installations.
  • Surveying and planning network cabling routes.


Troubleshooting and Maintenance

  • Diagnosing and resolving wired network issues with team support.
  • Maintaining network availability through routine maintenance and failover testing.
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components, such as switches and access points.
  • Managing technical faults and providing regular progress updates to customers.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation in ITSM systems.


Customer and Vendor Engagement

  • Liaising with third-party vendors and suppliers to progress support calls and technical advice.
  • Collaborating with internal teams on service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer care and professionalism.


On-Call Duties

  • Participating in an on-call rota to provide on-site services for critical incidents (P1 and P2), including hardware replacements when necessary.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in network cabling installations and planning cabling routes.
  • Strong knowledge of network troubleshooting and hardware replacement.
  • Familiarity with Aruba Wireless Access Points and switching infrastructure configuration.
  • Ability to meet SLAs and deliver exceptional customer service.
