OpSec is the leading provider of brand protection, serving some of the most iconic brands and leading governments around the world. Our products help secure and enhance brands both on-product and online, combatting counterfeit, protecting digital content and brand reputation, and unlocking brand/IP value through licensing and consumer engagement. We are expanding quickly and are looking to add a content author to our dynamic and growing marketing team.



Position Summary & Objective


The Content Author is an integral role in the content marketing team, which will take the lead in establishing an impactful, authoritative, and engaging voice for the business. It will report into the Content Marketing Lead and take ownership for shaping, crafting and delivering key outputs, from offline/digital collateral to campaign messaging and event content. The expansion of the content team reflects the central role that content marketing will take in articulating the increasingly sophisticated propositions, solutions, and business models that we expect to bring to market as a business. As a technology business with bold ambitions, this position will play an exciting role in shaping our identity.



Essential Functions Performed by the Position


• Own the shaping and development of specific items of collateral and other outputs, including promotional, and digital content (website, news flow) and press releases

• Work with product marketing to help them shape outputs, ensure they will meet the end use, and refine the key messages

• Develop creative options and pragmatic solutions for stakeholders to address competing priorities around timescales, quality and impact, and format

• Ensure that a consistent voice, tone and writing style is applied across all written outputs, creating an authoritative, plain speaking, and understandable narrative

• Help shape the overall framework of outputs according to end use requirements, bringing external references and best practices to help inform the art of possible

• Undertake quality reviews of work by other team members to help elevate the quality, impact and brand consistency of outputs across content marketing

• Work with graphic designers in the creative team and beyond to help shape, conceptualize, and codify complex topics into compelling and intuitive graphics



Competencies and Experience


• Excellent content marketing or copywriting skillset with 3+ years in related positions

• Experience of working in B2B environment, preferably in brand/business services

• Outstanding copywriting or technical authoring skillset with proficient output rate

• Strong desktop publishing mindset with the ability to organize content creatively

• Exceptional eye for quality and detail, including proofing and consistency of style

• Ability to conceptualize, simplify and articulate complex and/or technical subjects

• Practical and pragmatic in adapting content to different formats and end uses

• Strong interpersonal skills, able to coordinate with contributors and stakeholders


Education & Professional Qualifications


• Degree/college educated or equivalent copywriting based professional qualifications

• Certifications in professional writing/structured communications

• Secondary languages would be beneficial, but not essential for this role
