Ecommerce Manager- Amazon

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Long-established Consumer Goods business, on the search for Ecommerce Manager - Amazon. This is a permanent role based in Cambridge.


As the Ecommerce Manager - Amazon, you will be responsible for delivering a competitive advantage on Amazon. Using price, range, display and promotional commercial levers to ensure success. The successful candidate will need to be in the detail of all things Amazon and drive change where required. You will report to the Head of Amazon Sales and can have responsibility for direct reports. We are looking for a results-driven individual with excellent communication skills to drive profitable growth over the short, medium and long term.


Key Responsibilities


  • To exceed the agreed budget across all areas of Amazon.
  • To max category value and to control stocks through detailed forecasting of all exclusive and top SKU’s.
  • Daily engagement in key products, including tracking and reviewing product ranking, searchability, key words and content.
  • If responsible: Directly responsible for the Amazon Sales Executive and Amazon Sales Analyst team and follow company HR processes around 121s, appraisals, PDPs.
  • P&L development on new and current products to ensure we drive profitable growth for our business and Amazon.
  • Agree and deliver brand visibility.
  • Regular feedback to the Amazon Factory.
  • Regular analysis of sales in and sales out data for your product range.
  • Develop and maintain close communication and excellent working relationships with the internal Amazon team.
  • Identify marketing needs to support sales efforts in the online channel.
  • To communicate, where appropriate, clearly, and effectively with all parties, both internally and externally.
  • Relay competitor activity and other relevant information back to the business.
  • Plan, implement and analyse AMS activity on Amazon to the agreed budget. Articulate and share key results and findings.
  • Regular tracking of spend versus budget to ensure we spend within agreed terms.
  • Proactive approach to challenging all chargebacks and queries.
  • Full year promotional planning and implementation.

  • Language skills – Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills: with a strong ability to influence well within cross functional teams, work with fellow colleagues, managers.
  • Experience of people management.
  • Catalogue Management –experience of managing multiple products across multiple categories.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to find insights from data and develop them into actions and recommendations.
  • An eye for the detail with restless curiosity in the numbers.
  • Good presentation ability and an ability to present with gravitas.
  • A leader of change not satisfied by sticking with the status quo or current conventions.
  • A natural enthusiasm and aptitude for sales and negotiating.
  • Sound understanding of, and buy into, the company business strategy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Able to use Office365 i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. nfffnn
