Salary: £50,000



Hours: 9-5, Monday to Friday



Overview: As an Electronic Design Engineer, you will design and develop electronic circuits and subsystems, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and reliability goals. You will support the product lifecycle from design through production and continuous improvement, considering regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Design power electronic circuits and subsystems (Switch Mode PSU, high-voltage, high-power electronics).
  • Resolve technical issues during development and production.
  • Verify designs through simulations, testing, and environmental assessments.
  • Support product improvements driven by obsolescence or regulation changes.
  • Identify IPR/patent opportunities.
  • Conduct market reviews to inform product upgrades and innovations.


Skills & Experience:



  • Expert in power electronics design (3-10kV, 500W-2kW).
  • Experience in PCB design, high-frequency circuits, transformers, and encapsulation for harsh environments.
  • Strong understanding of reliability (MTBF), DfMEA/FMECA, and electrical safety.
  • Proficient in PCB layout tools, schematic capture, and Mathcad.


Qualifications:



  • Degree in electronic engineering or relevant practical experience.
  • Full SC clearance required; DV clearance is a plus.
