About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Manager to join our team in Manchester. This role is integral to the success of our retail business unit, requiring a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to drive commercial performance and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company goals and objectives to accelerate growth.
  • Manage and optimize the commercial aspects of our retail business unit, including pricing, promotions, and product assortment.
  • Oversee and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or similar role within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field
