The Opportunity: Account Director

We're seeking an Account Director to join this dynamic but small team. This role is tailor-made for a leader who thrives on challenges, balancing managerial responsibilities with hands-on account management.


So what will you be doing?

  • Client Relations: Keep clients smiling by regularly checking in, addressing their concerns promptly, and offering support during client calls.
  • Client & Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about client-relevant topics and PR industry trends. Share insights and articles with the team to foster learning.
  • Media Relations: Pitch captivating stories to relevant media outlets, nurture relationships with key journalists, and maintain up-to-date press lists.
  • Writing: Craft compelling client comments, thought leadership pieces, and pitch emails. Provide feedback on content drafted by colleagues and brainstorm innovative content ideas.
  • Quarterly Reviews & Brainstorming: Facilitate internal brainstorming sessions, ensure scheduled quarterly reviews are completed, and allocate tasks efficiently.
  • New Business: Identify opportunities for organic growth, scout for potential new clients, and lead pitch development and client messaging sessions.
  • Team Management: Ensure team members understand their roles, monitor workloads, provide necessary training, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Internal Development: Seek opportunities to enhance the brand's profile and that of team members through strategic initiatives.
  • Admin: Keep a finger on the pulse of each account's long-term plans. Stay updated on client messaging, ensuring the team is aligned with any changes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement, implement new procedures, and ensure adherence across the team.
