Your new role


We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our client's well-established and experienced national civil engineering team in Belfast.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and coordinate engineering production activities for an operational unit.
  • Make authoritative decisions and recommendations.
  • Engage with senior-level management within the company, handling dispute resolution and negotiating critical issues.
  • Use mature judgement to anticipate and solve both routine and unique operational problems, set operational objectives and requirements, organise programs and projects, and develop standards and guides for various engineering activities.
  • Receive administrative supervision with assignments defined by broad general objectives and limits.


What you'll need to succeed


To qualify for the Senior Structural Engineer position, you should have over 5 years of structural design experience in commercial, healthcare, education, or defence projects and currently hold a Senior Management role. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, and you should be chartered or on the path to chartership. Experience in a consultancy setting is highly desirable. Additionally, you must showcase excellent project management skills, knowledge, and experience.
