IVC Evidensia is undergoing an exciting digital transformation. Key to this is to improve the management of our core data sets. This means accelerating the standardisation of operational systems in practices, the creation of stronger tools for managing master data and developing standard reporting models across the group.


We are currently looking for a Data Engineer who will be a technical authority accountable for the design and development of the technologies that underpin our data strategy. Primarily, this means orchestrating feeds of data from source systems to our group data platform, taking technical ownership of all parts process.


This role involves working closely with the business to deliver solutions to solve the business challenges. This will involve talking to SMEs and breaking the challenges into deliverables. Along with this, they will also work closely with the Data Architect to define our over-arching data management strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 3 – 4 years + experience with SQL (ideally T-SQL)
  • A strong understanding of data concepts including storage, processing and modelling techniques. (Data Warehousing)
  • Ability to work with relational and non-relational data technologies.
  • Experience in cloud technologies, Azure preferable.
  • Experience building and maintaining pipelines. This includes the use of REST APIs, JSON and ELT technologies/protocols for moving data between systems.
  • Previous Exposure to business intelligence tools, such as PowerBI.
  • Confidence in being the face of IT – working directly with Finance, Marketing and other business units – for the systems and services in scope.
  • Confidence in working with Agile methodologies as well as waterfall frameworks.
  • Readiness to think internationally; is sensitive and responsive to the needs of business units across multiple jurisdictions, often with local issues and priorities.
  • Cognisance of, and responsive to, requirements to develop in line with information security best practice.
  • Capabilities in interfacing the IT Infrastructure team to ensure non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, resilience and identity/access management, are effectively delivered in the end-to-end solution.
