Aquent is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior UX Designer for a new contract position based in Edinburgh.


A multinational cloud-based software company specialising in a series of products designed to drive creative innovation across multimedia.



Overall Responsibilities:



  • Drive. Passion and skill to transform ambiguity into clear, detailed designs.
  • Curiosity. Bring a new perspective to the business landscape by crafting delightful experiences for admins, teams, and enterprises.
  • Systems Thinking. Unify patterns between multiple touchpoints and systems to create cohesive end-to-end experiences across surfaces, apps, teams, and technologies.
  • Simplify. Translate complex problems into simple, practical design solutions that are grounded in user research and data.
  • Collaborate. Drive collaboration with multiple project partners, including product managers, engineers, marketing managers and other designers.
  • Visualize. Bring design to life. Articulate the need and proposed solutions through sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations across all levels of the organization.




Requirements


  • Experience using design thinking and service design tools to tackle complex business problems.
  • Experience (and a love of) solving sophisticated design and technology problems using systems thinking.
  • Proven track record of delivering designs that meet user needs and business requirements.
  • Creative and analytical skills to facilitate research, synthesize and communicate insights that inspire design opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate designs and strategy persuasively and concisely to all functions and levels, including executives.
  • Strong operational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and drive close collaboration and alignment between design, product development, engineering and business.
  • Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and a desire to achieve pixel-perfect precision in the finished product.
