The role:

Reporting to the Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data and Reporting Lead to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing and reporting performance metrics and ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.

The Data and Reporting Lead will play a vital role in leading data analysis, driving data-driven decision-making and ensuring transparency and efficiency in the procurement process. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the energy sector and public sector procurement (UCR 2016 and Procurement Act 2023) would be highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a reporting framework to track and analyse procurement data. Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.

Design and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into procurement activities, performance, and compliance.

Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Utilise statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings clearly and concisely. Generate reports and presentations to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations, policies, and procedures. Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations and guide the procurement team. Conduct audits and reviews to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions

Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Implement data quality assurance measures and perform regular data validation checks. Collaborate with the IT teams to maintain data infrastructure and resolve data-related issues.


Requirements:

Your role will require knowledge of Data Quality, Data Cataloguing, and Master Data Management. You will support the Centre of Excellence team diving adoption of data management with Agile methodology.

With a performance mindset, you’ll possess advanced data analysis skills and have expert proficiency in the development of Power BI dashboards including SQL Querying.

Where required, create excel templates, train colleagues, and provide support to standardise the performance data.

Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data insights. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Support in designing, implementing, and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supplier risk management.

Experience in process improvement and project management is a plus.

Professional certifications in procurement, risk management, or related fields are desirable

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
