About the Role:


Are you an ambitious and dedicated Senior Level CDMA / Principal Designer looking to advance your career in the construction industry? Our Client’s specialist Principal Designer & CDM team is currently recruiting for an Associate Director or Principal level Consultant with experience across multiple sectors on projects of varying size, complexity, and value.


This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Principal Designer to manage and support a growing number of small to medium-sized projects, as well as provide expertise on major schemes. Responsibilities include acting as CDM Principal Designer, Client CDM Advisor, and conducting site safety inspections on significant large and small-scale schemes. This is an ideal opportunity to expand your career and enhance your technical and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the delivery of Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to the wider Principal Designer team.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and communication within project teams.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Principal Designer & CDM team.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.


Skills and Experience:


  • Preferably degree qualified in a design or construction management-related subject.
  • Previous experience in a construction-related role, such as engineer or architect.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services in compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Proven track record of undertaking site safety inspections as a Client CDM Advisor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications and familiar with BIM.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to engage in broader company activities.
  • Strong communication skills with experience working in a client-focused environment.
  • Preferred qualifications: CMaPS with the APS or actively working towards this, NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
