Here at Edinburgh Woollen Mill we have a fantastic opportunity for someone to kick start their photography career within the fashion industry.


We are looking for a Junior/Assistant Photographer to join our E-Commerce team. Working with our Photographer, this role involves creating high quality product imagery to be used on our website, along with creative flat-lay photography for marketing collateral.


If you have a keen interest in fashion, combining an eye for detail and composition, with technical photography skills we would love to hear from you


Main responsibilities:

  • Product imagery to be used on our website’s product pages.
  • Image editing, retouching and post-production according to system requirements.
  • Follow Asset Management guidelines.
  • Create engaging editorial product shots and flat-lays for use on the website, email marketing and social media.
  • Prepare sets and photographic equipment as needed.
  • Demonstrate brand and market awareness, and identify areas for improvement by researching and staying up-to-date with competitor photography styles and trends.
  • Assist the wider team with campaign shoots, or ad-hoc projects as required.


What we are looking for?

  • Keen interest in still life photography, with a fashion focus
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to proactively manage own workload and meet deadlines
  • Technical photographic skills and ability to set up studio lighting
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop is essential
