Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct initial reviews of conflicts search requests, perform conflicts checks, and identify potential issues using the firm's database.
  • Compile and dispatch conflicts search reports, integrating research and analysis from internal and external sources, and document all related processes systematically.
  • Research, identify, and verify new clients using external corporate research tools and online resources, and advise partners and secretaries on AML processes.
  • Conduct AML risk analysis on clients, prepare AML Packs, and assist in ongoing monitoring and updating of client due diligence records.
  • Escalate high-risk cases to the Conflicts Compliance Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for further review.
  • Conduct adverse media and sanctions screenings, provide AML and compliance training to colleagues, and assist with billing and processing third-party payer requests.
  • Maintain and update internal firm policies and procedures, address ad hoc queries and tasks, and stay informed about relevant legislative changes.


This role would suit someone who has substantial experience in compliance, with at least 3+ years in both AML and conflict of interest, within an international law firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal analytical skills, an excellent command of written and spoken English, and familiarity with compliance screening databases such as Orbis and WorldCheck. They should have excellent interpersonal communication and internal client service skills, alongside strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.


A self-starter who demonstrates good judgement, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion will thrive in this position. The salary for this role is up to £65k, offering a competitive package for the right candidate.
