Our client is the largest provider of hazardous waste collection services with locations across the United Kingdom. As part of a leading recycling and resource recovery solutions business, the group as a whole operates across 4 core waste streams: Hazardous Materials, Non-Hazardous Materials, Hydrocarbons, batteries and General Waste Recycling.
The Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Transport Manager to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective day to day running of the Transport Department whilst delivering an excellent end to end customer service experience for all.
As Transport Manager you will effectively manage all aspects of performance and system capability across the Transport Department by driving performance KPIs, employee engagement and operational efficiency. You will build, develop, and manage a large team including office-based staff to promote and maintain a culture of the highest standards of customer service, whilst also working closely with the site operations team and the customer experience team. You will also be responsible for the delivery of business improvement initiatives, working with the wider management team.
To be successful in this role you must have extensive experience of managing, developing and leading a successful Transport team. Your interpersonal skills are second to none, and you possess the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships both internally and externally. Ideally you hold an International CPC in Road Transport Operations, in addition to a NEBOSH General Certificate. A national CPC and ISOH Managing Safely is essential.
