Role Essentials


  • Provide essential support to the buying team to ensure the function runs smoothly and provide day to day administrative support
  • Build excellent working relationship with the Assistant Buyers and help manage inter team communications
  • Communicate with suppliers to acquire required information and materials
  • Checking accuracy of product brochure and marketing materials content and communicating amendments to Marketing and/or suppliers
  • Reviewing product descriptions and information on our system and online
  • Set up activity trackers
  • Provide support with setting up spreadsheets and reports
  • Build internal relationships with other teams e.g. marketing, operations
  • Arrange both internal/external meetings and participate in team meetings, workshops, depot presentations, surgeries
  • Deputise for the Assistant Buyers if needed to help with setting up and placing product orders to help meet SLA targets

  • Admin experience
  • IT skills particularly Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to extract data, manipulate data and use spreadsheets
  • Customer driven with a positive approach
  • Team player with the ability to keep calm under pressure
