This organisation is a large public sector business seeking a talented Communications Officer to join them in their Glasgow office. The Communications Officer will be responsible for creating and implementing effective communication strategies that promote their brand, values, and mission. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of various communication channels.


Key Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.

- Create compelling content for a variety of communication channels, including website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.

- Manage the company's social media accounts, including creating content, responding to comments, and tracking analytics.

- Build relationships with media outlets and manage media inquiries and requests.

- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust them as needed to ensure maximum impact.

- Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.

- Provide guidance and support to senior management on communication-related issues.


This is a 3 month rolling contract basis paying £24 per hour. This role is mostly remote with occasional travel into their Glasgow office in Cambuslang.
