This particular Police Force are a technology driven Police Force and require an individual who shares their passion for delivering sound architectural vision for delivery of critical emergency services whilst considering national policing specifications.


The role in summary:

  • architectural design guidance
  • and maintain technical artefacts
  • design authority for projects, creating high quality documentation including concept high level and/or low level designs
  • with suppliers and project teams to ensure delivery in line with agreed designs and outcomes
  • the Architecture Team with regards to architectural standards
  • for the Head of Strategy and Architecture as required


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:

  • years in architecture, design & management including at least 3 years in a Senior / Team Lead capacity. Experience guiding more junior Architects.
  • with implementation Patterns / fluency with architectural languages
  • in informal and formal design methodology, (design diagrams, narrative and description)
  • taking holistic view across different technical concepts, (i.e.. System, Service, Performance, Support, Flow analysis, Security)
  • written and verbal communication skills, confident communicating with Stakeholders and strong decision maker.
  • with Prince2/Agile and ITIL concepts
  • of formal design methodologies, (Z, CSP, Discrete Mathematics etc.). Knowledge of TOGAF / Zachman or equivalent

** You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years in order to meet the security vetting required for this role **
