A well-established, growing gourmet confectionery company based in Folkestone in Kent is looking for an experienced Marketing Strategist/Project Manager who’ll work directly with the MD and Creative Director to conceive and project manage marketing campaigns to a broad range of verticals. Either full or part-time, we’re looking for direct experience in a marketing lead role, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.

Marketing Strategist - Purpose & Objectives

To operate at a strategic level, influencing and defining strategies, sales campaigns, and promotions through various on-site retail, wholesale and online channels. To monitor and regularly report on the success of these strategies and, in conjunction with the MD, adapt them to ensure sales and profit maximisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive growth and achieve business objectives across retail shops; web; wholesale; corporate, and wedding sectors.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Create detailed marketing plans, including campaign concepts, messaging strategies, and channel selection, to effectively target key audiences.
  • Oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results. Develop and implement workable KPIs for measurement of the success of the overall strategy and individual campaigns.


Marketing Strategist - Requirements

  • Live within commuting distance to Folkestone on the south coast.
  • A valid driving licence and use of a car
  • Will not be requiring sponsorship in the future to work in the UK
  • A results-driven mindset and passion for effectively communicating products to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent industry qualifications. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a marketing lead role, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of retail marketing principles and experience in the retail industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Creative thinker, with a lateral flair and be full of opinions & ideas (no matter how outlandish) with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
