IT Project Managers manage highly visible and critical projects, delivering against project goals efficiently and effectively. The candidate must be able to apply project management expertise and experience to lead a project and achieve results.


Responsibilites:

  • Managing projects from vision through requirements, design, build and test, and post implementation support (including an appropriate gating process)
  • Agreeing suitable project governance and ensuring that it is aligned with the Project Governance Framework
  • Ownership and management of project deliverables and artefacts including plans, risk, and stakeholder reporting as set out in the Project Governance Framework
  • Liaison with internal business and technical teams to ensure business requirements are defined, documented, and delivered
  • Management of third-party technology suppliers/partners within project parameters
  • Matrix management of project resources.


Experience:

  • Track record of delivering large-scale and complex IT-driven projects
  • Experience of working with Service (IT Helpdesk) teams to onboard projects into Service Business-As-Usual
  • Experience of working within an IT project management function as part of a virtual cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to develop and / or quality assure project lifecycle documentation and technical artefacts and manage governance to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels using interpersonal and influencing skills to support project delivery
  • PRINCE2 / APM or similar project management accreditation desirable but not essential
