London UK, UK, United Kingdom Baker Charles Full time

Interim Financial Reporting Manager

Day rate: £500 - £600 per day (inside IR35)

Location: Central London (hybrid)

Initial 6 month contract - potential to extend or made permanent

A high-profile FinTech business is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join on an interim basis. This dynamic role offers a blend of project-based work and ongoing responsibilities, with the potential for extension or a permanent appointment.

In this position, you will be a key player within the financial reporting function, driving improvements to processes and controls while ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Your responsibilities will span external financial reporting, technical financial accounting, and acting as a central point of contact for teams such as Commercial Finance, FP&A, and other departments.

Core duties include the preparation and review of external financial statements, supporting the audit process, and managing covenant reporting. You will develop and implement accounting policies and procedures aligned with IFRS, particularly for complex accounting issues and new standards. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all outputs.

The role also involves contributing to a variety of ad hoc projects and analyses, such as IPO readiness, special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and tax matters. You will foster collaboration across the finance function, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality financial information delivery.

The ideal candidate will be an ACA-qualified accountant, ideally with a strong audit background with the ability to operate effectively in the FinTech sector. Expertise in IFRS (ideally IFRS 2 and IFRS 9) is required, along with a proactive approach to tackling complex challenges.

Joining at a pivotal time for the business, this opportunity offers a chance to contribute to the success of a fast-growing scale-up while developing your career in a thriving, innovative industry.

This interim role provides an excellent platform for future growth, with strong potential for extension or a permanent appointment.
