Role Summary

As a Sustainability Lead at Berlin Packaging UK, you will play a crucial role in driving our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. You will work closely with our EMEA Sustainability Team to promote the circular economy, manage our sustainability reporting, and support our technical department in providing dedicated sustainability services to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ESG process and support the group strategy with ESG topics.
  • Prepare sustainability analysis and feedback presentations.
  • Support training and engagement campaigns to raise awareness of sustainability and promote the circular economy.
  • Work with quality and compliance matters to meet customer requirements and maintain relevant certifications.
  • Liaise effectively within our EMEA supply chain to address customer queries and sustainability-related matters.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability goals and initiatives.
  • Develop sustainability software and reporting tools.
  • Provide customer service support on sustainability-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote sustainability across the organization.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sustainability leadership or related roles
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Degree in environmental science, sustainability management, or a related field. Alternatively, relevant experience in the packaging industry is highly desired
