Our client, a commodity trading firm is looking for a Short-Term Power Market analyst to join their team in London.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing data analytics and risk analysis on short-term power market
  • Supporting the short-term desk
  • Following the day-ahead and week-ahead optimisation shifts
  • Communicating time-critical information to the traders
  • Responsible for the whole life cycle of an application or a model, from the research/design to the development/implementation and the maintenance


You will need to have the following experience:

  • Fluent in French
  • Experience working in the power market- power asset management and optimisation
  • Building and developing stochastic or deterministic optimisation procedures and models
  • Advanced skills in Data Science and Python
  • Masters Degree with a high statistics or mathematics component
