Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop and design automation solutions, including robotic systems, for the production, test and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
- Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, providing solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment.
- Ensure requirement compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control.
- Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimising best method of manufacturing.
- Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology.
- DFMA, tolerance, design optimisation and value engineering
Experience Required
- Robot, external axes and PLC integration experience over 3 years.
- Robot programming language at advanced level such as RAPID.
- Force control integration and programming experience.
- Electrical wiring and robot circuit integration experience.
- Problem Solving & Creativity
- Managing Projects
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Robot programming language such as RAPID
- Experience working with Solidworks, TIA Portal and Robot Studio.
- Robot studio and automation simulation.
- PLC programming.
