Data Project Manager - Data Warehouse


We are seeking a meticulous and experienced individual for the role of Data Project Manager. This role is integral to our data warehouse projects, requiring a balance of technical knowledge and project management skills.

A hands on PM with skills such as Tableau and Power BI would have an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee data warehouse projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed within time and budget constraints while meeting quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main liaison for stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project status, key milestones, and potential risks.
  • Requirement Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders and data architects to understand and analyze requirements for data warehouse solutions.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with diverse teams including data engineers, analysts, and developers to accomplish project tasks and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and devise strategies to minimize their impact on project objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources to ensure prompt delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure data within the data warehouse is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, issue logs, and change requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management roles, specifically with data warehouse projects.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, architectures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management certification is desirable.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
