Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Technical Lead, your role is split between balancing development, quality assurance, planning, and team management.

  • The split is 70% Technical Lead, 30% Management
  • Oversee a product team dedicated to enhancing and evolving the platform.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to design solutions and prioritise tasks for optimal impact.
  • Aim to deliver straightforward and secure solutions across the technology stack, considering their long-term architectural implications.
  • Support and mentor engineers within your team.
  • Promote excellence throughout the platform.
  • Manage and develop a team of three direct reports.
  • Contribute to broader technology decisions and share achievements with the organisation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead.
  • Engineering Management experience of some kind, is preferrable
  • Successful history of working with product companies to build and maintain long-term platforms.
  • Strong experience in discussing requirements, with product teams, and converting them into technical deliverables, with the product and technical team
  • Strong technical expertise in Web Applications, Databases, Clouds, and Automation Testing
  • Proficiency in developing scalable systems using modern technologies
  • Experience with quality assurance tools


Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with PHP
  • Experience with AWS
