This role will be based in Europe and will require mobility across the firms International locations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all business risks including credit, operational, liquidity, market, and emerging risks.
  • Ensure the 24-hour monitoring of market conditions and risks, supporting a robust trading platform.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to manage and mitigate risks, developing relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide independent guidance on risk/return levels aligned with the company’s risk appetite.
  • Continuously improve risk control mechanisms, key risk indicators, and analyze risk data for potential impacts.
  • Engage with various departments to manage financial risks, client exposure, and hedging strategies.
  • Contribute to global expansion efforts by developing local business and risk controls.
  • Analyze client behavior, develop models to identify trends, and manage large exposures.
  • Lead the design and application of methodologies for assessing business risk/reward, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
  • Oversee the reporting structures for escalating potential issues and solutions.
  • Collaborate with second line defense partners to manage the company’s risk footprint.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certifications like CFA or FRM are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in risk management, preferably within financial services, in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement risk management frameworks in a global, regulated environment.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in fintech and financial services.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
