The Royal Scots Club, located in the heart of Edinburghs Georgian New Town, was established in 1919 and was founded as a living memorial to the 11,162 members of The Royal Scots Regiment who gave their lives in World War One.
The Club has 31 en suite bedrooms, several private dining and meeting rooms and two banqueting suites.
We are currently looking for a full-time night porter to join our team. This is a permanent position working 4 on 3 off, and 4 off 3 on alternating weekly. Shifts are from 10.00pm to 07.00am, 126 hours over four weeks.
The rate of pay is £12.00 per hour. Over-time will be available to cover annual leave.
Duties include:-
Reception: Checking in late arrivals and checking out early departures, dealing with guests requests, wake up calls, booking taxis, delivering early morning papers.
Security: Conducting regular security checks around the building, checking fire escapes and being alert and acting regarding any anomalies
Cleaning: Undertaking general cleaning of the public areas, lounges, toilets, hoovering, emptying and removing rubbish and waste.
Bar: To serve drinks to late night residents
This is a solo role and we will provide in depth training with our current night porter team
The successful applicant must also have a hospitable friendly personality
