Reports To: Executive Chef

Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Head Chef to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and working alongside our Culinary Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the culinary operations across our three primary business areas. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, a passion for food, and a commitment to excellence in every dish.


Key Responsibilities:

§ Provide strong leadership within the kitchen and support the Executive Chef

§ Contribute to a kitchen culture of excellence, teamwork and commitment

§ Inspire the wider SKANDL team and show sound judgement

§ Develop menus for use on our jets, grocery deliveries and experiences

§ Adhere to the highest levels of food hygiene and food safety

§ Work closely with clients to understand their personal needs

§ Innovate new meal concepts and continuously improve existing offerings

§ Incorporate culinary trends and customer feedback into your menu ideas

§ Design and execute bespoke menus for high-end dining events, private parties and exclusive culinary experiences and lead teams where necessary

§ Collaborate with our operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant, catering service, or similar environment. Michelin-starred experience an advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food trends, and nutrition.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Valid food safety certification.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP & food safety
