This large automotive client has a portfolio of leading brands, including well-known passenger and commercial vehicles. The different brands are supported by specific global teams.

The global team’s role is to help our local markets build the client's brand and sell more cars, more profitably. We do this through a passionate focus on market-leading planning, data-led strategy, digital excellence, a KPI-centric approach, and partnering with all stakeholders in transparent and collaborative way


The Role

Working under a Senior Analytics Director, this role has been created as part of a revamp of a competitive data project. This project is a key deliverable for a wide range of automotive brands, empowering central media teams and clients to make better annual and campaign planning decisions based on unified share of voice/shared of market data. Providing a consolidated view of automotive competitive data at a brand and market level for automotive clients.

Aspects of the role include being day-to-day contact for competitive data collection, responsible for data harmonisation, quality checks and uploading to databases, as well as providing ad-hoc data reporting upon request. This role offers experience coordinating with a wide variety of stakeholders globally, diving into the patterns of automotive competitive data, as well as upskilling in coding, databases, and project management.

Using the R coding language will be a big part of the daily role, so existing experience in this or a similar language is preferred, and more code training will be provided in the role. Being an advanced user of Excel will help with understanding the basics of how the project is organized. There will be an opportunity to work with data engineers to learn more about how the database process for the client works.

Growth opportunities could include expanding from running code for processing to creating new scripts, taking a more proactive role in managing stakeholders, as well as handling increasingly complex requests for custom data reports. PHD offers a well-defined skills expectation list for how to move into more senior analytics roles, which will be guided by your line manager.

  • Previous media agency and/or data processing experience useful but not essential
