Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fit Out Estimator to join our growing team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and/or commercial fit-out projects. This includes analysing project plans, specifications, and material requirements to determine labour, material, and equipment costs.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site surveys and analyse project specifications to understand project scope and complexity.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for all aspects of the fit-out project, including:
  • Materials (including finishes, fixtures, and equipment)
  • Labour (including different trades and their associated rates)
  • Equipment rentals
  • Subcontractor costs
  • Permits and contingencies
  • Research and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyse data and market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and reflect current pricing.
  • Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a cost database to track historical project data for future reference.
  • Prepare bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project feasibility within budget.
  • Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fit Out Estimator or a related role in the construction industry.
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of construction methods and materials for fit-out projects.
  • Experience with building codes and regulations (a plus).
  • Valid driver's license
