Cloud Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Take ownership of product reliability, security, and performance.
• Lead high-stakes incident response, balancing technical resolution with clear stakeholder communication.
• Participate in our 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Design and implement solutions to simplify user experiences, mitigate risk, and support company goals.
• Collaborate with product teams to align designs, standards, and quality with customer needs.
• Build connections between development and operations, supporting Agile and DevOps practices.
• Research and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and improve customer outcomes.
• Create, maintain, and automate infrastructure to support secure, scalable environments.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders about planned changes, incidents, and service improvements.
• Monitor applications, identifying and mitigating issues to enhance the user experience.
• Enable and support continuous deployment and on-demand deployment processes.
• Maintain key service configuration databases, ensuring adherence to ISO and Sage standards.
• Optimize platform spending by identifying cost savings and monitoring usage.
What Youll Bring
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Proficient with Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS operating systems.
• Analytical mindset with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Python) for automation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, multitasking, and prioritizing effectively.
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exposure to SRE practices, including system engineering and toil reduction.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD processes, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with distributed computing, containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
