We are now recruiting a SHEQ Coordinator to join our Maltby and Ranskill manufacturing sites. Although the role is dual-site, you'll spend most of your time at the Maltby site. Please note that internally, this role is known as our SHEQ Compliance Leader.

What's the mission?
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading SHEQ Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) at Maltby and Ranskill. This involves working closely with the site team and external support functions to enable compliance with both internal and external standards.

You will monitor compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems and provide updates at the monthly management meetings. You will also be involved in environmental planning, managing external contractors, assisting with SHEQ investigations, and driving improvements on-site in all areas of SHEQ.

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Experience of operating in a medium/large manufacturing or quarrying operation
  • Knowledge of standards / testing requirements to which our products need to conform
  • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation compliance applied to working situations
  • Experience of quality management systems and process control
  • Experience in management of customer complaints and/or supplier issues (non-conformances)
  • Knowledge/use of root cause analysis tools, RCA, MSA and lean techniques would be an advantage
  • PC literate
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience dealing with internal and internal audits and corrective action management
  • Experience or knowledge of Concrete Technology would be an advantage
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
