MillerMaxwell is assisting a leading high-frequency trading firm where technology and innovation drives success with their search for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer. The infrastructure team are a global team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing trading infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain trading infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with global teams to manage and optimise company infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage software applications and updates.
- Develop and maintain scripts, preferably in Python, to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Ensure security and compliance across all systems and platforms.
Technical Experience:
- Proficiency in Linux Servers and Windows Platforms.
- Strong scripting skills, preferably in Python/Bash/Shell/Powershell/Perl.
- Experience with software deployments and monitoring tools – Nagios/AppDynamics/Prometheus/Grafana.
- Familiarity with front office trading environments is a plus but not essential.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in infrastructure operations or a similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
The working environment is dynamic, technology driven and highly innovative. The infrastructure operations engineer must be able to work alone as well as working closely with senior stakeholders and other front office users.
