Our reputable client is seeking an IT Project Engineer to join their friendly team.

There will be some travel locally and within the South of England for this role, so applicants will need a full driving licence, and use of their own vehicle. The company works on a hybrid-working model.


IT Project Engineer – Role Profile:

The Project Engineer plays an integral role within the Projects Team with primary responsibility for project implementation, from commercial team handover through to implementation.


IT Project Engineer – Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and support new applications / solutions / hardware / software
  • Fulfilment of requirements laid out within the Project RACI
  • Primary responsibility for project implementation from commercial team handover through to implementation
  • Be responsible for reviewing projects as they arrive into service delivery to ensure an agreed set of checks have been completed and the project is fit for propose to be support by service team
  • Attending customer meetings as required to help provide technical explanations and input on pending or active projects
  • Identify and execute ways to continually partner with stakeholders to improve their capability to better leverage technology through our solutions – existing or new (e.g. input into strategy)
  • Be responsible for identifying opportunities within the service team to remove underlying issues affecting any customers, owning and following through to completion the rollout of any permanent fix
  • Keeping accurate records and site documentation
  • Keeping accurate time entries on ConnectWise


Other activities may include:-

  • Provide cover where and as required for all service teams
  • Maintain your own workload with visible scheduling in line with scores and agreed deadlines
  • Display the values and behaviours of a senior engineer, working closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge, coaching and mentoring other engineers, supporting other teams within the company
  • Provide exceptional service support to internal and external customers
  • Trend analysis and problem management
  • Establishing a good working relationship with customers and 3rd parties


IT Project Engineer – Experience Required:

  • 2 years’ experience as a senior engineer supporting SMEs or schools with previous experience at other levels.
  • Experience of managing or supporting projects.
  • Familiar with working to SLAs to meet customer and requirements.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role.
