About the role

You will join the Investment and Structured Finance team whose role is twofold:

  • source and execute on new investment opportunities to grow the size, complexity and geographic spread of the business while maintaining a coherent overall portfolio and strategy
  • structure and arrange financings and re-financings for new and existing portfolio assets as the business continues to grow in size, complexity and geographic spread through further acquisitions.


The Structured Finance team will consider all types of assets (individual/portfolios, development/ construction/operational…etc) and all types of structures (acquisitions, joint-ventures, development services agreement…etc) to maximise growth and value while also using all types of funding available (project finance, construction bridge, portfolio facilities…etc) to fulfil funding requirements and optimise RPC’s capital structure. You will report to the Head of Investment and Structured Finance.

Responsibilities

  • build, and manage discounted cash flow for acquisition and debt raising transactions
  • thorough market research and analysis of financial data (eg. Industry trends, geographic expansion, financial statements, data rooms)
  • the due diligence process
  • to the writing of written materials (investment papers, IMs…etc)
  • deal origination and execution
  • in designing the appropriate capital structures for a deal
  • and build meaningful relationships with clients and various other stakeholders


Location & commitments

This is a permanent full-time job based in London (our offices are located on Jermyn Street in Mayfair) but RPC offers strong flexibility with regards to working-form-home.

Some travel across Europe will be required to visit projects and meet with partners and funders.



Candidate requirements

  • degree is required. A Master’s degree or CFA designation is a plus.
  • experience being in structured finance or investment teams in the Renewable Energy sector is preferred (but not required)
  • about renewable energy and the energy transition
  • interest and aptitude for finance and valuation principles
  • proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis and MS Excel
  • communication and writing skills
  • attention to details and problem-solver, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise in a rapidly growing fast-paced environment
  • player, collegiate and collaborative
  • knowledge of financial databases (Bloomberg, Mergermarket…etc)
  • additional European language fluency is a plus but not a necessity
