Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and positive minded SEO specialist to join our ambitious travel business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel and a proven track record of driving growth through organic traffic. You will be solely responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies that increase our site’s visibility, attract high-quality traffic, and drive revenue from organic search.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Growth, and Development, you will collaborate closely with our marketing and development teams.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in both content and technical SEO, covering on-page and off-page SEO practices.
- Proven experience developing SEO strategies that drive revenue growth from organic traffic.
- Excellent understanding of current search engine trends, algorithms, and AI developments.
- Ability to conduct site audits, competitor analysis, and keyword research to inform SEO strategy.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SEOClarity, Moz, Ahrefs, or similar).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, either in-house or in an agency setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in the travel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct the SEO audit and create a benchmark upon which growth will be based.
- Create and present an SEO strategy aligned with core business goals, alongside a clear implementation timeline.
- Own and manage all aspects of technical SEO, creating a roadmap for execution.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on key SEO metrics, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Provide regular progress and performance updates against the SEO strategy to the business.
- Ensure all essential SEO elements (tags, images, internal linking structures, duplicate content) are optimised across the site.
- Create industry-leading SEO landing pages to boost conversions.
- Develop and implement effective link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and search rankings.
- Engage in outreach activities to build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and industry partners.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, algorithm changes, and best practices, adjusting strategies based on competitive insights and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Online Performance Manager to align SEO with Paid Media strategies for optimal results.
- Work closely with product managers to stay informed about destination priorities and USPs to shape SEO content strategy.
- Partner with content teams to ensure pages are consistently refreshed with relevant SEO-driven content.
- Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to improve site speed and overall technical performance, enhancing the Site Health Indicator.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
