My client is currently hiring an AVP/VP Quality Assurance Specialist.


This bank offers a range of financial services to personal and corporate clients, including deposit accounts, mortgages, and business loans. They also provide specialised services such as trade finance to support international trade and investment.


Position: Assistant Vice President / Vice President, Quality Assurance


Location: London, UK


Role Overview: My client is seeking an experienced and meticulous QA professional at the AVP/VP level to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our banking operations. This role will involve developing and implementing QA frameworks, conducting regular audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Quality Assurance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain QA frameworks and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Auditing and Monitoring: Conduct regular audits and quality checks on various banking processes to identify areas of improvement and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed QA reports and documentation, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address any quality-related issues.
  • Training and Development: Lead training sessions and workshops to enhance the quality management skills of team members and ensure consistent application of QA practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Compliance, Risk, and Operations, to ensure a unified approach to quality assurance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance QA processes.


Key Requirements:


  • Experience: Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in quality assurance, risk management, or a related field within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage QA projects, influence cross-functional teams, and drive change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO, CQI) is preferred.
