We are looking for someone who will excel in a dynamic environment but has the capacity to build process and quality into this. They will have great people skills and the ability to work with both technical and business teams within Retail Client and SAI.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to tight timelines. A large amount of time will be spent with the retailer (2-3 days per week) in the Retailers HQ and visiting stores, engaging with Store Staff to feedback learnings to the Technical Teams. This includes working closely with the Client Technical and Business Teams defining requirements and coordinating the efforts of team members and the Client to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and project reporting throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in co-ordination with the Client project team to understand all requirements and be the “Face of SAI” in project meetings. This includes but is not limited to: -
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
- Track the project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Visit live stores to understand system performance, engage with store staff to understand experience on the ground.
- Prep and planning for daily stand ups and weekly status meetings.
- Define project tasks, timelines and resource requirements.
- Track project deliverables and action logs using appropriate tools.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, internal and external.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
- Project evaluations and assessment of results.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a technical environment, ideally retail.
- Proven experience in managing software development projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
*Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands on knowledge of Self Checkout solutions
- Experience with Testing.
- Experience in UK grocery retail experience
- Understanding of the Loss Prevention arena, within retail.
