Group Finance Director Highly competitive package


T2M have been retained to recruit a Group Finance Director for a B2B services group that has grown rapidly over the past five years through acquisition and winning major national contracts. This c£200m group has ambitious plans for further growth and needs a highly experienced and commercially focused Group FD to ensure that the business is supported by a high performing finance function that provides robust business partnering, high quality financial reporting, working capital management and financial governance.


Working alongside the CEO the Group Finance Director will be a highly influential business leader who shapes strategy, improves efficiency and guides the business leadership team to make the right commercial decisions based on high quality business insight and financial control.

With overall responsibility for all things finance, you will lead and develop a team ( around 50 FTE) who are inspired and committed to providing a first class service. Your remit will include the following:


  • Create and drive a high performance culture across finance that provides accurate, insightful, compliant and timely data for internal and external purposes
  • Ensure that the business achieves it’s objectives with appropriate risk management, working capital, financial control, governance and business planning
  • Drive the company strategy through supportive Business Partnering from a finance perspective – actively engaging with leaders across the group companies and adding value as a trusted and approachable business leader
  • Provide operational business Targets, SLA’s and KPI’s that align to achieving objectives and provide consistency for business performance evaluation and improvement
  • Ensure that financial systems and procedures are efficient, fit for purpose and scalable, investing in automation and training as appropriate
  • Pro-actively support M&A activity
  • Identify business improvement initiatives and driving transformation projects


This role will be based in the West Midlands but require UK wide travel as required to fulfil the potential of the opportunity and ensure visible finance leadership and engagement across operations. Attributes and experience critical to success in the role include:


  • Highly qualified and inspirational Group Financial Director / CFO with experience of high growth (organic and M&A) within a B2B service sector environment
  • An influential leader who sets clear strategic direction, supporting and developing teams that take pride in doing the basics right, driving continuous improvement and meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen – a great business partner at board level and across the senior leadership teams across the group companies
  • Great communication skills – someone who creates a vision and inspires its achievements


This Group Finance Director opportunity will attract a highly competitive salary, company car, annual and longer term bonus schemes, pension, health cover etc.
