Tech Connect Group have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Engineer with ambitions to become a Project Manager available in Merseyside within a Material Handling & Conveyor Systems customer of ours.


The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager to support Project completion. Co-ordinates activities and stakeholders required during the project using the Project Manager processes. They schedule and conduct project meetings, communicate expectations and deliverables, and track progress to enhance project quality.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Attending customer meetings with the Project Manager.
  • Actioning assigned responsibilities agreed at regular internal meetings.
  • Supporting the management of comprehensive Microsoft Project timing plans.
  • Supporting the management of project variations/scope revisions.
  • Attending internal and customer design reviews.
  • Producing, managing, and updating comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensuring that all responsibilities are carried out using the Project Department Processes and standard documentation.
  • Supporting the management of sub-contract suppliers where required.
  • Attending customer sites for meetings.
  • Attending customer sites during installation, commissioning & buy off stages.
  • Ensuring that all projects are carried out in accordance with safety and environmental accreditation.


Qualifications/Attributes:

  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Possess and demonstrate a positive “Lead by Example” attitude.
  • Flexible approach to working hours/patterns.
  • Mechanical Engineering HNC qualifications.
  • Electrical Engineering qualifications are not essential but would be useful on certain projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing material handling or conveyance projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organised.
  • Have a keen attention to detail.
  • Have ambitions to become a Project Manager.
