Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child who requires additional assistance. This role is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s educational journey.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child, addressing their specific educational needs.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the child’s progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
  • Encourage the child’s engagement in the learning process and promote independence.
  • Assist with the child’s social and emotional development, providing a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Facilitate communication between the child, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the child’s education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role providing 1:1 support within an educational setting.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by children requiring additional support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
