An opportunity for a Chemical Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join a global chemical trade association as manager of global regulatory intelligence.


You will be responsible for:

  • Regulatory horizon scanning
  • Tracking and analysing updates and changes to global chemical regulations
  • Assessing the impact on members substances
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to develop strategy to ensure ongoing compliance.


This is a key new hire within the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs team – you will provide regulatory support to the chemicals management and Government and Public Affairs team. You will provide vital intelligence on upcoming regulatory update and classification changes in global regions.


We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail along with the ability to clearly communicate complex regulatory matters to stakeholders of varying scientific and regulatory knowledge.


Candidates are likely to have:

  • A scientific, law or political science degree
  • Sound understanding of chemical regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


This would be ideal for someone with sound REACH and CLP knowledge who is looking to focus on global regulatory schemes and can use the exiting EU regulatory knowledge as a springboard; or someone with existing global chemical regulatory understanding eg TSCA, K-REACH etc.


We are interested in a background in industry, consultancy, trade association or competent authority. Strong understanding of chemical regulations is key.


This is a remote role based in the UK - ideally South East UK but any UK location is fine.
