The Role

Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a People Partner Executive to join our client on an short temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 6 months with the possibility of an extension to 9 months.


The role is to support People Business Partners with delivering change initiative and people lifecycle activity, to expand overall people partnering team capacity.


Key Responsibilities

Works with People Business Partners to absorb activity that will generate additional capacity/time for the People BPs

Acts as delegate or representative for the People BPs attending meetings or holding other conversations they are appropriately equipped to have.

Owns specific elements of projects or of People Lifecycle activity, as directed by the People BP or Senior BP

Provides administrative support to key projects and activity to ensure these are delivered effectively and within timescales.

Helps to organise and facilitate meetings related to key activity e.g. organisation design workshops

Supports the preparation of business and colleague briefing documents and other materials related to business change

Helps to track projects and activity to give visibility to Senior People Business Partners of delivery across the team

Supports all other aspects of change management as required


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Comfortable using the full range of Microsoft Office tools to their full potential
  • Ability to develop briefing documents or summary packs following a core template or approach
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritise appropriately once initial guidance/direction has been given
  • Comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and to make sensible judgements about the best way forward where required
  • Able to balance the needs of different stakeholders and to prioritise appropriately given the importance and urgency of each piece of work
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure that output is delivered to a high standard, including when this is complex or technical in nature
  • Experience of working in a generalist HR capacity or of supporting HR activity
  • Experience of supporting business change (desirable)
  • Knowledge of key employment law principles (desirable)
