Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry, technical, regional, and regulatory standards.
  • Present designs during presales stages, tender interviews, and to clients or design teams.
  • Manage commissioning, witness testing, snagging, and reporting activities.
  • Prepare design documentation and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team for technical drawings, schematics, and design details.
  • Work on projects across the EMEA region, providing remote support and travelling to sites as needed.

  • Familiarity with telecoms services and cable testing standards.
  • Understanding of Local and Wide Area Networks, wireless networks, AV systems, and security systems, particularly in their interface with low-voltage designs.
  • Proven experience coordinating low-voltage systems with MEP and architectural disciplines across RIBA or international project stages.
  • Relevant industry design qualifications (e.g., BICSI RCDD).
  • Strong experience in managing design drawings, documentation, and specifications, with familiarity in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of IT equipment rooms and/or data center design and construction.
  • Experience in delivering and handing over infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Software Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with design and documentation tools like Visio, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • AutoCAD skills are an advantage but not essential.

Additional Attributes

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
  • High attention to detail and a diligent approach to quality management.
  • Site survey and inspection experience, with the ability to mark up drawings for production by remote CAD teams.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with experience presenting at project interviews or meetings.
