What you'll do
As a Ranging & Merchandising Programme Manager at Sainsbury's, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities focused on optimising and enhancing our product and merchandise offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including category managers, suppliers, and merchandisers to develop and execute strategic ranging plans that drive sales and profitability. Your key tasks will include conducting market analysis, identifying trends and opportunities, and making data-driven decisions to optimise sales and margin performance. You will lead the development and implementation of merchandising plans, ensuring effective product ranging, pricing strategies, and promotional activities. Additionally, you will monitor and analyse sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to continuously refine and enhance the ranging and merchandising strategies. Your objective will be to deliver exceptional customer experiences by ensuring a diverse and appealing product assortment that meets customer needs and drives business growth.

Who you are
As a Ranging & Merchandising Programme Manager at Sainsbury's, you are a highly skilled and experienced professional with a deep understanding of retail merchandising and product ranging strategies. With your strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, you excel at driving effective merchandising programmes that align with business goals and maximise sales opportunities. Your expertise in range planning, assortment optimisation, and product lifecycle management enables you to make data-driven decisions that ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills allow you to work closely with cross-functional teams, including category management, buying, and supply chain, to deliver successful merchandising initiatives that enhance customer experience and drive profitability. With your passion for innovation and continuous improvement, you contribute to the growth and success of Sainsbury's as a leading retail brand.
